Community Kirtan in Wrightwood honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month
The final Sunday of October is the sacred holiday of Diwali – the Festival of Lights. On this auspicious night, we will gather together to celebrate Life, Love, and Hope in support of those, and their families, who lives have been effected by breast cancer. The festival of Diwali spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and hope over despair. Wear pink and bring a pink offering for our mandala altar.

In honor of my mom, and several other women in my family, who bravely battled breast cancer, LRYS and I will be contributing all donations from the evening to Elizabeth's Canvas, a local non-profit organization that supplies cancer patients and survivors with art classes, supplies, and creative instruction to better cope with their symptoms, improve their well-being, and live empowered lives. Their goal is to provide cancer patients and survivors with the tools they need to live a life with less pain and anxiety, and to empower them through the creative process.
